Good morning everyone. I hope this little note finds you all well. Unfortunately, we've had the Flu here. Thankfully this morning I feel pretty good. Mark had it far worse than I did, he came down with it first and passed it on to me....wasn't that sweet of him! I think he should have gone to the Dr's but of course he wouldn't. He did rest for most of the day on Saturday and yesterday he was feeling a lot better..so hopefully it is on it's way out.While Mark and I stayed wrapped up snug in the house, Kurt spent the weekend snowmobiling with his friend Miles..they had a blast..I did manage to bundle up and go on the porch to snap a couple pictures

It was only 10* outside.....I don't know how they could stand it!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Okay......Here are a couple little sneak peeks of my Simply Primitives offerings for January 15th....can you believe half the month is gone already!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
By the way, I've heard from little Miss Travel again.....she was offered a job for this summer..here's what she said; "Oh, I forgot to tell you, I was offered a job in San Marcos La Laguna on Lake Atitlan for the summer and i think i might take it"!!! "I can use it as my externship. I want Kurty to come with me too:)"
Whatever...why don't you all just pack up and leave me!!!! No...I'm kidding....I am absolutely thrilled for her..this is her dream and I am so excited for her....This is what I want for her...to grow up and live the life of her dreams.....it's what I pray for every night for both my children!
Have a wonderful day everyone..stay warm!
24 delightful friends dropped in for a visit:
Doreen, That boy is just like his mom. When Darlene and David were inside coloring next to the fire you were outside sliding down a snowbank in -8 .You we be so bundled up we cold only see your eyes and nose. I would have to stand at the door looking out the window so I could call you in to warm up every 1/2 hour. Remember you called Darlene a "house plant" cause she never wanted to go with you? It was you not your brother that first drove the big John Deere ! Now you have two children with the same thirst for fun and adventure just like MOM. Love Mom
Good Morning, Doreen! First of all I'm sorry to hear you and your dh had the flu...ugh! Glad you are both feeling better now. Love the photo of the berries against the fence or whatever it's against. Very pretty. Yes, 10 degrees is BRRRR! When you are playing, tho, it doesn't seem that cold. Thanks for the sneak peaks. Hmmmm, another bird? (bottom photo). Have a wonderful Monday!
Hi Doreen. your photos are beautiful. Glad that you are feeling better. Let me know when you would like a respite in Florida...a winter show in Sarasota with a friend would be nice...I think a group of us should get together and meet up for our own Show. Its 65 degrees here..but there is a cold front coming through. Have a primo superduper day. Robin
Hoping you a Marvelous Monday, Pamela
I wish the same for my children too, it sounds wonderful for her.
Sorry to hear you've been feeling icky, but I hope you're on the road to recovery now.
Great pictures!
I know what you mean about the kids. I'd love them to all stay and "nest" right around me, but my daughter has already been to Europe twice and I suspect, she may want to live there...
I don't know how my heart could survive without my baby girl close, but I won't let her know that! That's why we moms have each other, right?
Feel better... Can't wait to see the rest of your monthly wares!
Blessings... *Linda*
I am looking forward to seeing the full versions of the sneak peeks! Get well soon and remember to eat your raw garlic. ;)
Stephanie
Hiya Doreen-
Hope you're feeling all better.
I was just thinking about you this weekend as we enjoyed some of your yummy syrup. My son's friends were over and they couldn't believe that a "real person" had made it. They just imagine everything in the world comes from a factory.
Hope you are feeling better! We're supposed to get some of that really cold weather this week too.
Hi Doreen ~~ Great Pictures...glad to hear you and hubby are on the mend. That was cute reading what your MoM said about you as a kid. Sounds like their are three great generations in your Family.
Hugs ~ Connie xox
Once again you have teased us with just a glance at a pointed hat?
Oh to be young again, snowmobiles and world adventurer... They are good kids and for that I know you're thankful.
It's frigid here today and I hear even colder tomorrow. How many days till spring?
xo Susan
